From the beginning American Freight Carrier primarily handled Truckload business within the retail industry. They found their strength by servicing inbound transportation from vendors located coast to coast. Having a service area so large they quickly built a huge carrier base and began handling freight from vendors in every state. As opportunities for third parties increased American Freight Carrier expanded truckload services to Canada and Mexico. American Freight was one of the first third parties to convert over the road freight to inter-modal with great success. Rail services were dependable and it allowed companies cost saving freight transportation.

Today American Freight Carrier has contracts with thousands of major truckload carriers, and four major rail services to always ensure a consistent availability of equipment. Current services include Truckload Dry, Refrigerated, Frozen, Produce, LTL, and Local Services in every major city, Inter-modal, Container Drayage, Warehousing, Regional, and Critical Time Services. Equipment resources include Dry Van, Air Ride, Logistics, Refrigerated, Flat Bed, Container, and TOFC.
